Job Summary

Performs security risk assessments, based on vulnerability criteria, to determine appropriate levels of protection and security necessary for a site. Reviews security project designs and conducts onsite progress assessments to ensure design specifications meet the security needs. Manages the acquisition, installation or replacement of equipment designed to increase efficiency of security operations. Assists in the evaluation of products and techniques related to computer hardware and software. Works to maintain, promote and implement security objectives and assists in developing and presenting security training programs. Receives and evaluates all security related incidents and makes recommendations to preclude recurrence. Based on incidents, trends and surveys the incumbent recommends corrective actions and prepares written narrative reports of facility assessment findings.
As a Retail Loss Prevention Specialist you will follow-up on retail store incidents, address shrinkage, monitor the armored car function and address performance issues, conduct training, ensure alarm and CCTV systems are installed and operate correctly, work with field personnel to solve security equipment issues, develop /maintain reports, complete loss prevention audits, and manage projects as assigned.The preferred candidate must be flexible and available for occasional evening and weekend work. Daytime and overnight travel required.
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree and two years related work experience or six years related work experience post high school
  • One year security experience
  • One year project management experience

Preferred Qualifications
  • Preferred candidate will have a minimum of 7 years of retail Loss Prevention experience for a national or multi-state retailer.
  • Preferred candidate will have case management and exception based reporting experience.
  • Preferred candidate will have a minimum of 1 year of project management experience.
  • Preferred candidate will have CCTV and alarm system operation and monitoring knowledge.
  • Preferred candidate will have multi-store experience.
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, Power Point, Access, and Excel.
