Job Summary

Applications Developer III, Sprint Corporation, Overland Park, KS


Develop and maintain software applications crucial to the efficient service assurance of a large wireless carrier's network. Proactively detect network problems in CDMA, EVDO and LTE telecommunication networks. Gather and report on network operational measurement data to quantify customer experience and network performance and process automation and integration of systems to simplify workflow. Perform end to end project delivery of web based applications including engagement with the client to gather requirements, create high level design documents, provide level of effort estimations, understand dependencies on other subsystems, system design and development, database design and development, GUI design and development, unit testing, and user acceptance testing, followed by deployment into production and maintenance of the applications. Design user friendly GUI designs that effectively and intuitively present collected information to a diverse audience. Participate in an iterative and agile approach to software development requiring frequent status meetings with the client to give status updates, clarify requirements, respond to questions and give project demonstrations.


Basic Qualifications
Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, or related field and 3 years related experience. In the alternative, Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, or related field plus 5 years related experience. Related experience must include: 3 years of experience with Unix Shell Scripts, Visual studio .NET, ASP.NET, ADO.NET, Entity Framework, C#, ASP.NET MVC, JQuery, JavaScript, IIS, HTML, XML, SQL Server 2005 or higher and Oracle; 2 years of experience with AngularJS, High Charts, WebApi, Bootstrap, SSH; demonstrated experience with Agile development, NLog. Must also have demonstrated experience with CDMA, EVDO and LTE technologies; Virtual MME and Voice over LTE.
