Job Summary

Telecom Design Engineer III, Sprint Corporation, Overland Park, KS

Research, design, plan, develop and evaluates new, advanced network technologies by translating customer requirements or strategic business objectives into final product design for projects of highest complexity and multiple technologies. Work typically includes in-depth assessment of the customer's networked application needs, providing network modeling and simulation testing, consulting to further clarify needs, and engineering high-speed technology network transports to deliver application functionality. Use professional concepts and company objectives to resolve very complex issues in creative and effective ways.


Basic Qualifications
10 years of related occupation experience, or in the alternative a Master’s degree in Engineering, Mathematics, or Physical Science plus 6 years of related occupation experience. Related experience must include: research, design, planning, development, and testing of new advanced network technologies, network components and radio frequency (RF) and/or wireless transmission components; project management and project implementation. Requires subject matter expertise in CDMA, WiMAX, LTE, VoLTE, and Cloud technologies. This position requires someone with exceptional ability, and ability to satisfy at least three of the following criteria: Academic records showing a degree, diploma, certificate or similar award from a college, university, school, or other institution of learning relating to this field; Letters documenting at least 10 years of full-time experience in the occupation; A license to practice this profession or certification for the profession or occupation; Evidence that they have commanded a salary or other remuneration for services that demonstrate their exceptional ability; Membership in a professional association; Recognition for their achievements and significant contributions to our industry or field by their peers, government entities, or professional or business organizations; or Other comparable evidence of eligibility.
