Job Summary

Performs analysis of business processes and data that pertain to business issues. Provides reporting solutions and data metric analysis that may identify business trends and results. Utilizes data analysis to explain business issues and financial implications, recommend workflow improvements, or enable business unit to improve workflow processes. Works with various business units to accomplish objectives. Performs research and influences the strategy for the most complex reporting and analyses of information in reports. Serves as a project leader or project manager and has significant interaction outside of the work group.

We are looking for a Business Analyst IV (experienced analyst) to join the Sprint Leasing Portfolio and Insurance Strategy team responsible for strategy development for Sprint's $5.5B consumer leasing portfolio. The Business Analyst IV will play a critical role in understanding the business objectives and needs, driving the analytics team to generate insights, and socializing and presenting key insights to business partners. This role will serve as the advisor to business partners on the insights that needs to be incorporated in their business/transformation strategies.
The position will report directly to the Director Leasing Portfolio Strategy. The position is responsible for providing complex, highly specialized analytical, technical and operational support at the business or department level

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree and eight years related work experience or twelve years related work experience post high school
  • Five years reporting experience
  • Five years data analysis experience
  • Five years experience leading processes and teams

Preferred Qualifications
  • Masters of Business Administration or, MS in Data Science and experience of working in property and casualty insurance business
  • Experience in unstructured, Data Lake environments (Hive, Hortonworks, Hadoop)
Ideal candidate will have:
  1. Build and maintain economic models which will help create scenarios, sensitivity and predictive analytics to ensure handset insurance pricing and plans lead to profitable revenue and margin growth for the overall Sprint business. . Perform research and hoc analyses to support business decision making.
  2. Link Operational metrics to financial metrics and create dashboard
  3. Collaborate with the base marketing and insurance teams to identify high risk churn scenarios leading to proactive promotional opportunities
  4. Work with cross-functional team to improve and simplify handset insurance processes across all channels (Dealer, Web, Tele), ensuring the frontline is accurately promoting the right product for the right customer and that expectations are clear
  5. Drive initiatives to improve overall Net Promoter Score of lease and insurance subscribers
  6. Understand all changes to device protection plans, policies and procedures that would lead to necessary data architecture modifications, including communicating and implementing those changes when necessary
  7. Develop a thorough understanding of the business and its functions, processes, and operations.
  8. Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills
  9. Advanced presentation skills and communication skills
