Job Summary

Solutions Engineer II Wireline Specialist A, Sprint Corporation, Schaumburg, IL


Work with business customers in designing complex wireline solutions to support a customer’s voice/data/WAN needs. Duties include: Implementation of new SIP Trunking; Migration of Legacy Voice customers to SIP trunking; Migration of customers from Legacy TDM to Ethernet; Network migration from legacy services to new technology; Managed Network Services design including all elements of the customer’s infrastructure; Equinix cloud solutions that allow customers direct connections with providers such as Microsoft and AWS; Design, suggest, and quote price to the customer and follow equipment order process which matches customer requirements of bandwidth, connectivity, and architecture such as SDWAN,MPLS/DIA/LAN/WAN/Voice/Wireless backup/WAAS. Comply with Sprint’s Driver Safety Policy and guidelines.



Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications Engineering or related field plus 2 years of related experience. Related experience must include: sales or marketing experience in telecommunications or a related field; selling solutions, technical products, services or applications; creation of technical documentation and presentations (formal and informal); SIP Trunking design; designing networks in Netformx or related design tool; configuring Cisco CPE in Cisco CCO portal; managing internal and external relationships in a matrix environment; project management experience in a technical or customer environment; Netformx; BPM; COO; subject matter expertise in solutions, products, services and processes, including Telecom providers common portfolios of solutions, specialized products and services.
