Job Summary

Solutions Engineer II Wireline Specialist A, Sprint Corporation, Irving, TX


Provide Engineering support to Sprint's Sales team and presales/lifecycle support for Fortune 100 and Fortune 500 companies. Apply knowledge of MPLS IP-VPN, Voice over IP, IPsec VPN tunnels, TDM & Ethernet technology, IP Routing & Switching protocols to customer solution needs. Work on Sprint's MPLS, Managed Network Services, Wireless WAN, SIP Trunking, IP defender, cloud exchange and secured internet access solutions. Design new sites for an existing customer network, which will involve multiple technical discussion with the customer's network team. Monitor and collect all technical information and design appropriate workflow for customers. Make technical presentations and recommend solutions for customer requirements. Perform technical assessment of customer network and prepare reports as per customer specifications. Analyze customer requirements and provide resolutions. Monitor customer technical queries and use technical tools to resolve all customer's concerns and design processes for same issues prevention in other customer's network. Comply with Sprint’s Driver Safety Policy and guidelines.



Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications Engineering or related field plus 2 years of related experience. Related experience must include: sales or marketing experience in telecommunications or a related field; selling solutions, technical products, services or applications; creation of technical documentation and presentations (formal and informal); designing networks in Netformx or related design tool; configuring Cisco CPE in Cisco CCO portal; managing internal and external relationships in a matrix environment; project management experience in a technical or customer environment; IP routing protocols; Packet Tracer; GNS3; Wireshark; Putty; subject matter expertise in solutions, products, services and processes, including Telecom providers common portfolios of solutions, specialized products and services.
