Job Summary

Analyzes complex business problems and issues using data from internal and external sources to provide insight to decision-makers. Identifies and interprets trends and patterns in datasets to locate influences utilizing established mathematical/statistical methodologies. Constructs forecasts, recommendations and strategic/tactical plans based on business data and market knowledge. Creates specifications for reports and analysis based on business needs and required or available data elements. Utilizes advanced data analysis skills to explain business issues and financial implications, identify and recommend workflow improvements enable business unit to improve workflow processes. Works with various business units to accomplish objectives. May directly produce datasets and reports for analysis using internal reporting tools. Provides consultation to users and lead cross-functional teams to address business issues.
Performs analysis of business performance and data that pertain to customer behavior. Directly accountable for identifying specific churn or retention related issues within customer segments and delivering fact based and actionable insights. Interact directly with established data sources to drive visibility and understanding of key metric performance, establish and explain performance trends and provide qualitative metric performance analysis.
  • Must be a US Citizen due to data access requirements.

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree and four years related work experience or eight years related work experience post high school
  • Three years experience with analytics toolsets (e.g., SAS, SQL, Oracle, Teradata, MS Excel, Micro Strategies, etc.)
  • Three years experience designing business intelligence analytics and relational data structures
  • Three years experience developing complex reports and perform complex analyses of information in reports.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Expert knowledge of reporting procedures and strong issue identification/resolution skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, with confidence to present data and analysis to multiple levels of management
  • Experience and confidence to challenge business thinking using fact-based analysis, via written analysis and insight or direct Executive discussion
  • Successfully work and influence within a matrix environment, leveraging knowledge and insight from key stakeholders, including those external to workgroup
  • Ability to think analytically about key areas of business performance and understand the drivers of variance
  • Effective in working in multiple data centric environments, including with multi-dimensional data sources
  • Highly competent with SQL, SAS and/or business intelligence tools
  • Experienced with Teradata preferred
  • Experience working with large datasets required
  • Experience of statistical techniques preferred
  • Highly competent in MS Excel and Powerpoint
