Job Summary

Oversees channel marketing activities within an assigned workforce segment. Manages activities of a team of specialized marketing personnel. Recommends plan/program modifications with significant impact. Performs activities to develop and maximize the effectiveness of distribution channels. Designs, develops, and implements marketing programs with third-party partners. Assists in the development, modification, implementation, and administration of department programs. May coach less experienced employees in work assignments.
The Retail Channel Marketing Manager develops and executes all aspects of in-store visual merchandising, displays and collateral from concept to implementation. This includes everything from visual merchandising of the retail floor to communication and training with national sales team. Daily responsibilities include: development of visual merchandising tools including displays and POP, plan-o-gram management and development of training materials. The unique position requires an individual that poses a positive attitude, strong organization skills, the ability to multi-task, communicate effectively both verbally and written, and be eager to learn!

Roles and responsibilities:
  • Develop and produce visual merchandising programs including POP and temporary/semi permanent retail displays for nationwide implementation
  • Manage development of visual merchandising displays that are accurate, consistent and timely
  • Work closely and assist sales team in the development of training and education tools
  • Manage communication between assigned distribution channels; Distribution channels can include Indirect and/or National Retail partners
  • Manage and forecast annual budget
  • Lead retail display design including prototyping, creative briefing, design supervision and routing
  • Support tradeshow and retail event layout and floor plan design for key shows
  • Some travel required

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree and four years related work experience or eight years related work experience post high school
  • Three years channel development experience
  • Three years managing large-scale projects
  • Two years supervisory or management experience

Preferred Qualifications
  • Five years of retail merchandising or channel marketing experience
  • Five years of experience with Microsoft Office Suite & Adobe Creative Suite
  • One year of sales experience
  • Strong writing ability. Copywriting experience a plus
  • Strong communication skills with a high attention to detail
  • Exceptional organizational skills with an ability to prioritize and multi-task
  • Strong knowledge of retail environment and consumer shopping habits
  • Strong decision making, problem resolution and creative thinking skills
