Job Summary

Network Engineer III, Sprint Corporation, Reston, VA

Research, design, plan, develop and/or evaluate new, advanced network technologies by translating customer requirements or strategic business objectives into final product design for projects of highest complexity and multiple technologies. Work typically includes in-depth assessment of the customer's networked application needs, providing network modeling and simulation testing, consulting to further clarify needs, and engineering high-speed technology network transports to deliver application functionality. Use professional concepts and company objectives to resolve very complex issues in creative and effective ways. Support the solution design, requirements documentation and development required to implement network solutions for complex business requirements. Support the technical development of lab design and architecture, test strategy, test cases, test case automation, validation processes and analysis related to the platform requirements, capacity and performance testing, hardware and software releases, and parameter validation. Provide technical support into Sprint Security Gateway and Voice Over WiFi networks. Responsible for overall performance of Public and Private Backhaul over IPSec Tunnel, VoWifi elements. Support 4G/3G FEMTO, Mini Macro, PICOS, WaterPolo VoWiFi, MVNO and Kineto platform over Public and Private Backhaul. Organize and participate in pilot and roll-out upgrades.

Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field and five years related work experience. Related experience should include: LTE, eHRPD, CDMA, Network Security including 3GPP standards; Experience with 3GPP/3GPP2 framework including control plane (DRA, AAA, HSS, Subscriber Data and Policy & CSCF IMS Core) and network security; Leading complex projects end-to-end, in a cross-function environment, from conceptualization to launch, including but not limited to requirements gathering, design, development, integration, testing, deployment and launch; troubleshooting complex issues related to system integration and database client interfaces; Data modeling in XML, XSD, XSLT, SIP, SPML, LDAP, RADIUS and DIAMETER; Linux and Solaris Operating Systems with Open Stack Cloud; Black box testing using automated test tools (JMeter, Landslide etc.) for various protocols (LDAP, XML SOAP, DIAMETER, RADIUS, SIP, IKEv1/v2, IPSec); Online Certificate Status Protocol (OCSP), Internet Key Exchange (IKE), Certificate Management Protocol (CMP) protocols; mobile data network authentication/authorization (IKE_AUTH, RADIUS Auth, EPS-AKA (LTE Access), EAP-AKA') with network layer Encryption Algorithms and Hashing Algorithm; data network protocol capture and analysis using Wireshark, TShark, PDML and XSLT.
