Job Summary

Assists in the maintenance and documentation of tax records and the preparation of all or specifically assigned routine tax returns and related reports by required deadlines. Tax returns could include federal, state, and local income tax, state general business and franchise taxes, and utility taxes. Maintains knowledge of tax laws affecting the company. Assists in tax audits and may review routine contracts for tax implications.
Specifically, handles various federal and state/local income tax compliance filings and tax accounting issues relating to corporations and partnerships. Could assist with tax examinations as well as tax depreciation. Handles multiple demands and competing priorities.Good oral and written communication skills are necessary. Must be a team player, highly motivated and dependable. Must utilize effective time and project management skills.
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or four years related work experience post high school
  • One year tax accounting experience

Preferred Qualifications
  • CPA exam eligible
