Job Summary

Quality Manager IV, Sprint Corporation, Overland Park, KS

Implement best quality practices and processes with the Sprint organization and suppliers/vendors. Create, implement and report projects for the development and institutionalization of quality management in Sprint and with Sprint’s suppliers or vendors. Proactively plan, monitor and report quality performance through data analysis and initiate necessary improvements. Establish the quality governance model with suppliers/vendors. Demonstrate SME level knowledge of telecommunications processes and network performance quality. Identify, initiate and follow through on actions for quality; responsible for influencing the organization on quality issues. Advocate for the customer on requirements, feedback, and customer satisfaction. Must see complexity and work through problems across entire Sprint enterprise. Must exercise strong presentation skills to communicate with executive management. Provide leadership and mentor other team members on Six Sigma practices and implementation. No direct reports or supervisory responsibilities.

Basic Qualifications
Master’s degree in Engineering Management, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field plus six years related work experience. Alternatively, employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Management, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field plus eight years related work experience. Quality certification required from at least one domain - Six Sigma Black Belt or Lean - coupled with 2 or more years’ work experience. Experience should include: Leading quality change programs; CDMA network technologies (including EVDO and 1X) and interpretation of related Network Performance KPIs; LTE network technology and interpretation of related performance KPIs; Customer Experience management tools including Base Management Warehouse or Churn Data Warehouse; MAP, BMW, Rosetta; SQL coding to manage and analyze large amount of data; statistical data analysis tools (SAS, MINITAB, or Crystal Ball); and developing key analysis projects and drive strategic project implementation.
