Job Summary

Develops and manages marketing communications strategies, programs and projects by working with partners across Sprint as well as advertising agencies to implement product marketing strategies and sales objectives. Participates in the development of plans for product promotion in support of marketing objectives. Provides counsel to other departments and staff on company communication and advertising policies and procedures for retail, web and other channels for Sprint.
The Marketing Communication Manager - Brand Strategist will be responsible for partnering w/ key cross-functional teams to successfully activate the Sprint brand positioning. This person will engage in company-wide brand education efforts, brand planning, strategy development, and name creation. They will partner w/ other teams to ensure strategy is successfully activated across channels/customer touchpoints. They will review marketing communication tactics to ensure brand consistency.

The ideal applicant will possess the following knowledge, skills or ability:
  • Strong ability to lead teams with emphasis on partnering and collaboration.
  • Strong communication skills with internal partners, agency partners and peers.
  • Brand building experience.
  • Digital brand expertise is a plus.
  • Ability to provide design feedback and direction to align w/ brand visual identity.
  • Ability to manage multiple strategic initiatives while implementing tactical details at the same time. Exceptional time management skills.

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree and four years related work experience or eight years related work experience post high school
  • Three years working with marketing communication policies and procedures
  • Three years experience with writing and design layout

Preferred Qualifications
  • Six years related work experience in Marketing Communication and Brand Strategy
  • Three years' experience leading advertising agency resources
  • Three years' experience in program/project management
