Job Summary

Ensures that all installation and maintenance functions are performed in a timely fashion to meet customer and company specifications. Performs highly specialized moderately complex tasks associated with installation and/or maintenance of switch, cell, network, or CPE equipment.
*Location: Kansas City, MO *
Transmission Operations Fiber Technician. Must be able to walk 5 miles per day. Maintain, repair and upgrade Sprint's fiber optic cable route, including electronic transport equipment, batteries, buildings, generators, and supporting equipment. Protect fiber facilities by locating and marking cable, patrolling routes, and monitoring and directing excavation activity in close proximity. Associates in Electronics Technology preferred. Must be able to work alone and with others. Must be able to maintain productivity without manager input. Must be self motivated. Must be able to be "on-call" when required and must be able to work nights and weekends, when required.

Must have valid driver's license, three consecutive years of active driving history, successfully complete driver's safety training, and otherwise comply with Sprint's Driver Safety Policy and guidelines.
Basic Qualifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent



Preferred Qualifications
  • One year Network Operations experience
