Job Summary

Manages a team of people who spearhead cross-functional teams focused on the delivery of a product from design to customer release. Develops, defines and executes project plans, schedules, budgets and deliverables. Identifies needed resources for projects, defines and assigns major project roles. Monitors the product/program/project from initiation through delivery, interfacing with external customers or field-based employees on technical matters, as needed. Recommends changes to policies and establishes procedures that affect immediate organization(s). Works on issues of diverse scope where analysis of situation or data requires evaluation of a variety of factors, including an understanding of current business trends. Follows processes and operational policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Often must lead a cooperative effort among members of a project team. Manages the activities of individual contributors or supervisors in a section or department with accountability for goals, objectives, operational policies. May participate in the development of functional strategy. Has responsibility for hiring, termination, performance and salary decisions.
The Group Manager for Partners & Alliances will be responsible for managing commercial and technical relationships with key product partners of Sprint Business. The role will lead a team of Partner Managers with the objective of strengthening existing relationships and forging new alliances in support of a converged business product portfolio. The role will ensure the seamless integration of partner solutions into the sprint solutions suite. This requires an understanding of the relationships between fixed and wireless connectivity, managed components, security, mobility, collaboration and cloud solutions. This will require close collaboration with all Group Managers of the Product organization.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Establishes and maintains commercial and technical relationships with vendors and key strategic partners to drive a robust business product portfolio.
  • Collaborates closely Sprint Consumer group to ensure partner relationships and technologies are fully leveraged.
  • Understand the priorities on the converged product roadmap to drive partner activity.
  • Requires working with cross-functional teams and partnering closely with Product Marketing, Network, Care, and IT for successful execution.

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree and eight years related work experience or twelve years related work experience post high school
  • Three years supervisory or management experience

  • MBA or Advanced Degree
  • Five years of experience establishing and directing complex projects
  • Entrepreneurial and self-driven spirit
  • Passionate about achieving results and driving success in any situation
  • Strategic thinker and problem solver
  • Natural ability to collaborate well with others across the organization and thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced and highly-fluid environment.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills and presentation skills, with ability to influence decision-makers
