Job Summary

Provides primary engineering support and/or augments their peers, sales and end user customers in the most complex, demanding and highly visible accounts or projects without regard to segment, market, technology or industry vertical with the purpose of driving customer solution sales. Provides strategic direction regarding technologies and solutions to the sales team, participates in customer meetings to uncover opportunities and recommends solutions, and develops relationships with customer contacts to help further Sprint business within the account. Conducts knowledge transfer sessions with sales, other Solutions engineers, or other organizations internal/external on solutions, technologies and industry trends. Presents to internal/external audiences and at industry events.
Pre Sales Techno commercial Solution support to the India Sales team. Additionally mandated with supporting product and capability enhancement initiatives in the region working in concert with the Product Management team.

Major Accountabilities:
  1. Provide Sales Teams with detailed, technical support throughout the sales cycle.
  2. Define prospects’ technical and commercial requirements, and based on expert understanding of Sprint’s current and potential capabilities, competitors’ capabilities and customers’ value to Sprint, champion the support, design and sale of those capabilities to the customer
  3. Interface with other Sprint technical support organization to develop customer solution designs according to Sprint policies and meeting customer business requirements
  4. Present Sprint’s general capabilities and customized solutions to customers
  5. Drive support for customized solutions within Sprint organization
  6. Act as center of technical expertise for Sprint global sales concerning regional service flavors and competitive offering. Gather knowledge about Local suppliers, partners, competitors and interface with Sprint Product Management to leverage the information
  7. Collaborate with Sales and Account Management and the wider SE team to identify and create winning sales strategies and new product opportunities. Propose and/or design technical solutions to meet prospect's business, technical and / or financial goals.
  8. Support and respond, in an effective and timely manner, on RFI / RFPs
  9. Maintain expert knowledge of Sprint products to develop and present unique solutions and maintain knowledge of emerging trends in technology
  10. Provide feedback on competitive activity and customer requirements to the product management team and drive the capabilities and product development activities in support of sales.

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree and eight years related work experience or twelve years related work experience post high school
  • Eight years of sales and/or marketing experience in telecommunications or a related field

Preferred Qualifications
  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from a reputed institution in India.
  2. Experience in a customer facing technical sales and/or consultancy role, with the ability to interact and present to customers up to the highest levels. At least 8 years of relevant Industry and functional experience.
  3. Broad telecom technical knowledge, with depth technical and commercial knowledge in (some of) the converged solutions area:
a. Global WAN solutions including SD WAN, MPLS and related QoS/CoS offering
b. Traditional Voice and VoIP solutions (SIP-Trunking, Managed IP Telephony , Unified Communication), including
migration opportunities and issues.
c. UTM, Cloud based network and service offerings
d. Wireless/wireline convergence solutions
e. Key customer applications deployment (e.g. SAP, Oracle, Citrix) and their impact on WANs
  1. First hand experience in the enterprise sector for the global IT strategy definition
  2. selection and for the deployment of global converged solutions
  3. Strong technical writing skills
  4. Strong public speaking / presentation skills
  5. Strong leadership skills / initiator of projects
  6. Strong team orientation
  7. Strong listener
