Job Summary

RF Engineer II, Sprint Corporation, Overland Park, Kansas

Provide radio frequency (RF) and/or wireless transmission design. Design, plan and oversee installation and maintenance of wireless radio communications systems, including radio propagation modeling and prediction, path analysis, interference analysis, frequency coordination, cell site equipment layout, parameter definition, and ancillary equipment. Create/Complete SCIP Approval, new site templates and RF design forms to support new and existing site designs and upgrades. Use skills as a seasoned, experienced professional with a full understanding of industry practices and company policies and procedure. Resolve a wide range of issues in imaginative as well as practical ways. Work on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. Demonstrate good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Interact with senior internal and external personnel. Interact with vendors and customers to ensure designs meet budgetary and performance requirements. Communicate well and professionally with customers. Comply with Sprint’s Driver Safety Policy and guidelines.


Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering or related field plus two years related work experience. Experience should include: RF engineering work with radio communications systems, including radio propagation modeling and prediction, microwave path analysis, interference analysis, frequency coordination, cell site equipment layout and parameter definition, drive test data collection and analysis for network optimization; Project management and project implementation experience; In-building coverage solutions including DAS, Repeaters and eFemtos; Use of Ericsson AMOS, ENIQ, CACP, NSN Netact, Samsung LSM; QXDM, QCAT, JDSU/ PCTEL scanners, XCAL-M, TEMS, Spectrum Analyzer, Nemo Windcatcher.
