Job Summary

Develops, implements, and administers policies, procedures and programs in the communities in which the organization does business. Responds to local needs and aligns with the overall objectives of the company. Manages a collaborative, integrated, sustained program of interaction with education, business, government, and company organizations, to effectively link and leverage corporate resources.
The 1Million Project (1MP) is a powerful collaboration between Sprint and the 1Million Project Foundation. As a non-profit organization that sits within Sprint, the 1MP’s mission is to transform the lives of low-income students across America by providing devices and internet access to 1 million high students who do not have internet connectivity at home.

We also believe students need and deserve the right tools to translate their efforts into meaningful outcomes. The Community Affairs Program Mgr II position plays an important role in helping the 1Million Project achieve its mission. As one member of our approximately fifteen-person team, the Comm Affairs Prog Mgr II will provide meaningful support on 1MP’s multi-pronged fundraising strategy. In addition to providing general support on fundraising efforts championed by 1MP’s leadership and fundraising team, the Comm Affairs Prog Mgr II will provide critical research and writing support as 1MP seeks to secure funding from grant making organizations.

More specifically, the Comm Affairs Prog Mgr II will provide fundraising support in the following five areas: funder research; grant writing; grant tracking; meeting prep and support; and regional event support. The Comm Affairs Prog Mgr II is expected to work collaboratively and thoughtfully, in ways that complement a mission-focused orientation; a growth-mindset; a high degree of promptness, professionalism and efficiency; a bias towards action; and a spirit of servant leadership.

This position can work remote.

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree and two years related work experience or six years related work experience post high school
  • Two years of experience with community outreach in a corporate or not-for-profit setting
