Job Summary

Perform Radio Frequency (RF) and wireless transmission design. Design and plan installation and maintenance of wireless radio communications systems, including radio propagation modeling and prediction, microwave path analysis, interference analysis, frequency coordination, cell site equipment layout, parameter definition, and ancillary equipment. Work on problems where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. Select methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Correlate voice and data network performance metrics using various data source like OM data, Drive test data, App based measurements and competitive analysis/Benchmarking. Establish trends and patterns to understand impact of specific RF KPIs on overall customer/user experience. Use coverage and capacity forecast to develop and publish network performance targets and projections, Validate and tune this performance projection model based on data between actual and target performances. Develop and publish regular Network performance scorecard and reports to executive leadership, local engineering and operation team. Perform detailed Layer 3 Drive test data analysis to drive network optimization and performance improvement. Act as a subject matter expert in performance Data analytics. 25% domestic travel requirement.

Basic Qualifications
Master’s degree in Electrical or Telecommunications Engineering, or closely related field and one (1) year experience in the offered role or as an Engineer or related role. Experience must include: radio communications systems, including radio propagation modeling and prediction, microwave path analysis, interference analysis, frequency coordination, cell site equipment layout and parameter definition, project management. Layer 3 messaging of TDD/FDD LTE air interface and data protocols, MS Excel, PathLoss, Windcatcher, ENIQ, Mapinfo, JDSU E6474A, PlanET and programming, iDAS testing, oDAS testing , SQL for CDMA, EVDO, TCP/IP, UDP, FTP , HSPA, EV-DO, UMTS, VoIP, LTE and microwave design.
