Job Summary

Performs analysis of business processes and data that pertain to business issues. Provides reporting solutions and data metric analysis that may identify business trends and results. Utilizes data analysis to explain business issues and financial implications, recommend workflow improvements, or enable business unit to improve workflow processes. Works with various departments to accomplish objectives. Generates some complicated/non-routine reports. Performs basic analyses of information in reports. Researches and recommends plan/program modifications based on analyses. Typically responsible for small projects but may assist in larger projects. Acquires and demonstrates strong working knowledge of reporting procedures.
The Retail Marketing Operations Analyst I will provide support to the Retail Print Production and Logistics team by providing reports, data analysis and project management related to the retail POP kit building, retail POP kit fulfillment and delivery of retail POP materials to stores. As part of the team, this person will research past projects as needed to provide critical reporting. This person may also help on larger initiatives from by documenting progress and tracking project milestones. The position requires an understanding of how to work with people, spreadsheets and databases to ensure timely communication of requested information.

Additional Department Information:
The Sprint Retail Communications & Merchandising team is a center of expertise for all marketing communications, visual merchandising, and store design for Sprint retail distribution. We seek to achieve corporate, marketing and sales goals while delivering a positive, differentiating, brand experience at retail. Specifically, the team plans and develops a total suite of marketing communications tools including print and digital. These programs and tactics support national and local promotions, new product and service launches, and general brand messaging and customer services to motivate, navigate, educate and facilitate the customer’s journey at retail. In addition, we plan, design, develop, and implement all aspects of store design ranging from small product displays up to full retail concepts.
  • Bachelor's degree or four years related work experience post high school
  • One year reporting experience
  • One year data analysis experience
  • Familiarity and comfort level in working in a matrix-managed work environment.
  • Demonstrated oral and written communication skills as well as solid, analytical, program solving, and decision-making skills. Strong attention to detail a necessity.
  • This position based in Overland Park, KS. No relocation funds are available.

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or four years related work experience post high school
  • One year reporting experience
  • One year data analysis experience


Preferred Qualifications
  • Be well-versed in all Microsoft Office software, particularly, Excel, Access and Power Point.
  • Experience preparing and running reports from multiple sources (including MS Access and client-based applications) used for making business decisions.
  • Ability to work on and execute a variety of projects simultaneously.
  • Willingness and ability to act as gatekeeper for significant amounts of detailed information by asking questions to understand an internal client’s needs.
  • Ability to work independently to solve problems.
