Job Summary

`Network Engineer III, Sprint Corporation, Bellevue, Washington

Plan, design and implement networked systems of very large scope and very high complexity. Provide engineering services and project management functions required to develop and implement very complex network plans. Projects include technology changes within the platforms, new implementation guidelines and/or standards. Analysis includes switching, interconnection, national platforms and backbone facilities. Design and implement protocol solutions in the Clearwire Wimax core network. Complete configuration of all equipment within the assigned core. Work with installation team to identify and resolve issues prior to commissioning, and troubleshoot installation problems and outages. Create and perform augments to allow the integration of the Clearwire network into the Sprint network. Provide the configuration and assist in implementation of configuration updates into the network for different vendors. Link capacity adjustments between the Sprint network and the Clearwire network. Develop improved strategies to make integration less complex. Conduct project planning, cost analysis and vendor comparisons. Employer will consider allowing remote work from any location in the U.S. up to 75% of the time and will require work from Sprint’s Bellevue area location 25% of the time.


Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Systems, engineering, or related field and four years related work experience. Related experience should include: three years’ network engineering, project management and project implementation. Must have experience working with routers, bridges, concentrators, physical installation, transport (DWDM), and switches. Must have CCIE-SP and JNCIP certifications.
