Job Summary

IT Systems Analyst III, Sprint Corporation, Overland Park, Kansas

Formulate and define system scope and objectives based on user needs. Devise or modify procedures to solve complex problems considering computer equipment capacity and limitations, operating time, and form of desired results. Detail the specifications from which programs will be written. Analyze and revise existing system logic difficulties and documentation as necessary. Identify and evaluates= systems and procedures. Configure system settings and options, plan and execute unit, integration and acceptance testing, and create specifications for systems. Act as a liaison between development groups and business units. Work with Network OSS tools requiring comprehensive understanding of network data. Build KPI formulas required for monitoring the Sprint network. Write complex SQL queries in Microsoft SQL, Hadoop, and Teradata platforms. Acts as a project manager when required. Work with OSS Tools users and IT in resolving Tool related issues and provides guidance and solution from an Engineering perspective. Create requirements and test cases for network KPI in big data systems like HDP and EDW. Create requirements and test cases for business intelligence systems on big data like Tableau and custom BI solution. Migrate legacy systems from older Architectures and systems to state of the art new technologies. Reverse engineer legacy network OSS tools. Create requirements documents and test scripts for Network performance data and corresponding business intelligence reporting. Work with network performance data like KPIs, Parameters and counters from Alcatel-Lucent and similar vendors like Ericsson, Samsung and Nokia. Work with RAN documentation from Alcatel-Lucent and similar vendors like Ericsson, Samsung and Nokia.


Basic Qualifications
Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related field plus three years related work experience. In the alternative, the Employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related field plus five years related work experience. Experience should include: three years’ experience in information systems programming; three years’ experience in systems specification or structured analysis; three years’ experience with project or process management of network related projects; LTE; CDMA; EVDO; HADOOP; Teradata; and writing complex SQL queries using SQLServer. Ability to perform duties of the position.
