Job Summary

Fully accountable for the quality, accuracy and timely development, production and analysis of financial and management reports, which form the basis for assessing the overall financial performance and operating goals. Fully accountable for understanding cost drivers at a line item / activity level and driving consistent improvement. Prepares analysis and materials to support executive leadership operations reviews including: financial reports, roadmaps, progress-to-plan materials, and issue analysis reports. Assists Management Reporting and Analysis leadership as required. Interface with CFP&A in forecasting, actual reporting and budgeting. Leads and develops strategic direction in a financial or decision support capacity. Provides forecasting, planning and analysis, including: opex and capex budgeting and planning, analysis of monthly results, and Ad Hoc Analysis. Works with cross-functional teams to develop the strategy to identify needs/issues and develop the detailed work plans, procedures and schedules to ensure timely and efficient implementation. Works in close collaboration with multiple stakeholders in the identification of functional, organizational and/or procedural issues and bring about swift and effective solutions. Provides advice to Network VP's and Business Unit CFO on issues pertaining to business performance, cost transformation and the establishment of business performance measures to ensure profitable investment. Partners with Softbank personnel for Ad Hoc analysis and reporting and understanding of Network financials. Acts as a liaison with business partners to obtain deep business understanding of variances and trends seen in business results.
Leads Finance operations functions and team aligned with Sprint’s Core IT, OmniChannel IT, Customer Care Operations, and Customer Management teams. Responsible for partnering with the Leadership of these Business Units to provide strategic and financial support to all areas of the business and ensure development and execution of business plans that achieve financial and performance objectives as we transform services, tools, and support models. Specific responsibilities include business plan support, transformation office support, budgeting, forecasting, planning and analysis and strategy/decision support. Ensures Finance Operations alignment and collaboration with other areas across Sprint.


Responsible for executing the financial strategy, plans, policies and procedures for the organization. Responsible for implementing a systematic, disciplined approach to development of the organization's financial plans and identifying financial opportunities to improve the organization's profitability. Exercises appropriate financial governance over business segments by partnering in strategy development, supported by operating and budget reports. Directs the development of complex financial models and provides financial decision counsel to senior operational management, ensuring the company follows financial best practices. Oversees and leads the development of managers and individuals in the Finance Operations team.

Basic Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree and ten years related work experience or fourteen years related work experience post high school
  • Eight years of progressive management experience
  • Eight years of budgeting and forecasting experience

Preferred Qualifications
  • Masters of Business Administration
  • Experience and/or working knowledge of IT development, Call Center operations, and customer lifecycle process
