Job Summary

Leads cross-functional teams from design to delivery of fully developed products that are ready for customer use. Develops strategy and roadmap for future products. Designs, develops and manages activities from product definition and planning through production, release, and end of life. Evaluates technical options and represents business requirements to the technology organization through requirement documents and detailed specifications. Provides timely and accurate information and status updates to functional leaders. Acts as primary point of contact to lead development and quality assurance resources to successfully release new products on time and within budget.
This position reports to the Converged Product Development team that supports the Sprint Business Solutions sales organization. As a member of this team you will be designing, modifying and managing activities within a security portfolio that is aligned to deliver on a business customer's digital transformation needs as it relates to securing their People, Places, and Things. You will need to Identify, negotiate with, and manage outside vendors as it relates to supporting the vision of the Sprint Business channel and the Security portfolio. Act as the CEO of the portfolio and serve as the central resource with design, process, manufacturing, test, quality, pricing and marketing as the product(s) move to completion and distribution. Involvement lasts throughout all stages of a product's lifecycle, from product release through maintenance of the product and end of life decisions.

Security Solutions architecture for cybersecurity, network, endpoint, and mobility products:
  • IT architecture experience
  • Systems integration experience
  • Proven knowledge of security vendor capabilities
  • Proven leadership - ability to manage conflicts and negotiation; milestone management of artifact and team delivery
  • Ability to present complex technical topics to a broad range of audiences and skillsets
  • Familiarity with designing products for managed service providers
  • Lead and manage large cross-matrixed workgroups
  • Drive development of business cases for new products or new product features to assess demand and sales targets
  • Drive adoption of security solutions and set go-to-market strategy for business security solutions
  • Develop the short-, medium-, and long-term roadmaps for the Security Solutions portfolio to achieve sales targets and key business metrics
  • Drive innovation and adoption of forward-looking technologies set to disrupt the security space
  • Develop technical design solutions for telecom OEM devices, IT, and Network capabilities to support Device roadmap strategies. This includes detailed high level approach, detailed technical specifications and design work.
  • Lead, document, and manage device architecture and design teams to implement the high level approach.
  • Review/consult on the Device Architecture Blueprint for architecture direction. Develop requirements and design in partnership with Device architects, IT and Network architects with the project team(s).
  • Provide executive communications and materials for projects, strategies, and designs when required. Guide our leadership team on technology decisions and constraints.
  • Desired: Working knowledge of Sprint’s IT provisioning and billing systems.
  • Strong technical writing skills including technical design, logical architecture design, technical blueprints, use cases, and sequence diagrams.
  • Strong facilitation skills.


Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree and eight years related work experience or twelve years related work experience post high school
  • Five years project management and implementation experience

Preferred Qualifications
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Security Engineer or Design architect
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in IT or Network
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience using software development lifecycles for project work
  • Five years product management experience
  • Five years with telecom products and services
  • Certification within a security discipline, product, or specialty
  • Experience with audits, regulatory or compliance demands
