Job Summary

Responsible for writing and developing Web content for promotional pages, banner ads, and launches of new products, plans and services. Creates content that will motivate, entertain and educate users so that they regularly access the website and utilize it as a major source for information and decision-making. Responsible for managing and performing website editorial activities including gathering and researching information that enhances the value of the site. Creates a compelling and professional web-based user experience that achieves communication objectives for online marketing and self- service applications. Delivers clear, concise writing with a creative flare with quick turnaround to meet tight deadlines. Ensures writing adheres to internal editorial and AP style guidelines.
This position will only sit in Reston, VA
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree and two years related work experience or six years related work experience post high school
  • Three years experience writing for the web or publications under deadline pressure
  • Portfolio of representative work

Preferred Qualifications
  • Journalism degree
  • Two years Content Management System (Team site) and InDesign/desktop publishing experience
  • Two years experience creating/writing content for web or other digital media
