Job Summary

Directs the design and evaluation of technologies that enable business or consumer end-users and to use networking, computing, and communication devices with ease in business environments. Manages the activities related to providing usability, evaluation and support to product development teams, develops methodologies and procedures, as well as graphical, web, multimedia, voice response, and conversational user interfaces. Oversee creation, evaluation and modification of prototypes to support evolving software application development. Determines specifications for user interfaces and internal structures for products in development. Works cross-functionally to evaluate, design, build, and test the product enhancements requested by others. Considers user profiles and customer requirements with emphasis on human error control, visual interaction, and physical manipulation. Manages the activities of individual contributors or supervisors in a section or department with accountability for goals, objectives, operational policies. Participates in the development of functional strategy. Has responsibility for hiring, termination, performance and salary decisions.
Position will sit in Reston, VA only
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree and eight years related work experience or twelve years related work experience post high school
  • Five years experience in customer experience design
  • Three years supervisory or management experience



Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced degree in Human Factors Psychology or a related discipline
  • Ph.D.
